Welcome to Ranelagh Medical GP Practice
Dr Philip and Dr Rosemary MacMahon opened Ranelagh Medical on 11th of June 2007 when they moved their former practice from its location across the road at 13 Sandford Road. Ranelagh Medical was officially opened by the Minister of Health Mary Harney on Monday 28th of January 2008 by Minister for Health Mary Harney.
Dr Smyth joined Dr Philip and Dr Rosemary MacMahon in Ranelagh Medical full time in June 2007. He is a very experienced full time practitioner and specialises in sports medicine and runs special sports medicine clinics and also in preventive medicine.
We have also been fortunate to gain the services of Dr Gallagher who joined the practice on the 6th October 2008.
The practice opens from 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday from 10.00am - 1pm. Find out more about our opening hours.
The Practice Manager Linda has been running the practice since May 2007. The team includes Nurse Susan, Eleanor, Jacinta and Lisa.
All doctors at Ranelagh Medical are committed to providing total community based family care. This fine tradition is carried out by all medical and support staff. In that same regard, everyone at Ranelagh Medical pride themselves on placing all their patients’ needs at the centre of their efforts. Our mission is to 'Strive to keep people healthy in their own community'.
As well as GP services, Ranelagh Medical also offers a dietician/nutritionist service with our Senior Dietician Niamh Brannelly who visits the practice all day Tuesday. We work in partnership with Global Diagnostics to provide onsite ultrasound tests. These are preformed fortnightly on a Monday morning. We also work in partnership with The Physio Company to provide a full time physiotherapist.
Within the clinic is Ranelagh Dental. Ranelagh Dental is a bright, new, modern, family dental practice offering a complete range of dental care, including orthodontic and cosmetic treatment founded by Dr Hilary Garvey.
Ranelagh Medical would like to welcome Cora Lavin of Optimum Healthcare who practices Reflexology and Reiki.
